Apply For Assistance Through FEMA
President Biden approved a major disaster declaration on August 30th, allowing Louisianans to access government assistance to assist in recovery efforts in areas affected by Hurricane Ida. For additional legal help, storm survivors may subscribe to the “Louisiana Disaster Legal Tip Line” to receive helpful texts on disaster-related legal issues. Text “subscribe” to 318-405-4185 to sign up for this service provided by the Lagniappe Law Lab, whose purpose is to “narrow the access to justice gap”.
