Jay is an experienced litigation attorney who worked in the insurance department of two of the largest and most sophisticated law firms in the United States. Over his 15 plus years of practice, Jay has handled lawsuits covered by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, among others.

Jay has litigated numerous cases on behalf of and against Fortune 500 companies, with some of those cases involving seven, eight, and even nine figure disputes. Having relocated to Southwest Florida, Jay continues to focus his practice primarily on insurance related disputes on behalf of owners of residential and commercial property.

Jay is currently licensed to practice in the State of Florida and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice before a number of federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Prior to practicing law, Jay graduated with honors from the Management Department of Gettysburg College and Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University School of Law where he was a member of Law Review. Jay is also an active member of his church and a former NCAA All-American soccer player who enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and two children.

Notable Accomplishments:

Recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for insureds and AOB holders after Hurricanes Irma, Michael, Sally, Laura, Delta, Zeta, Ida, and Ian;
Recovered in excess of a million dollar multiple times for bad faith and statutory penalty violations alone;
Jason’s commercial files regularly result in seven figure or seven figure plus recoveries after the carrier either denies coverage or claims that the damages are under the policy deductible;
Multiple confidential settlements resulting in 8 figure payouts to commercial clients;
The first attorney in multiple states to successfully assert claims and/or causes of action not previously recognized in those jurisdictions;
Represented insurance company in multi-million dollar AAA insurance dispute against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the National Basketball Association in Manhattan, NY;
Served as co-counsel for the one the world’s wealthiest investors fighting for control of a large multi-national corporation, resulting in a favorable outcome for the client;
First attorney in multiple jurisdictions to interpret certain insurance policy provisions and/or exclusions in a manner that resulted in judgment favorable to client;
Has tried to verdict and/or arbitrated to award in excess of 100 cases during his 20 year career in both state and federal courts.
Has practiced through local counsel, pro hac vice admission in over thirty U.S. jurisdictions.
